I have my eye on simple clean styles this season. I'm also toying with the notion of giving up heels and only wearing flats or platforms. Heels just aren't practical for me. I'm almost 6 feet tall, I live in NYC and I take public transportation everywhere and I'm super clumsy... it's just too dangerous. The Sex and City lifestyle is a false representation of a New Yorker and I'm here to bring that fake ass myth to an end. New York women don't go running around in no damn 6 inch Manolo Blahnik!! There, I said it! You could break your neck running around these uneven streets. I'm sorry, I digress...

What do you think? Are heels practical for going up and down the subway stairs and dodging pot holes?
What styles are you most looking forward to come spring?

Meet Wilhelmina

jacket: Uniqlo | pants: Street Vendor | sneakers: Converse x Comme des Garcons | bag: Baggu
hat: Wigwam | sunnies: Ray-Ban

Are you following me on Instagram? If you are then you've already met the newest addition to my family... my 10 week old amazingly cute frenchie Wilhelmina Betty Nakamura (who also has an IG page, check it out!). This weekend my husband and I went out to run some errands and bought Willie along for the ride. She's only 6 pounds so it's been a struggle finding a bag that she could fit in without getting lost, the baggu is the prefect size! At least for this week...

Enjoy the rest of your week! xo

Daisy Dukes

sweater: Joe Fresh | shorts: Vintage Levi's | coat: Engineered Garments | boots: Vasque
hat: Bloomingdales | sunnies: Ray Ban

These pictures are from Nemo... the last snow storm NYC had a few weeks ago. The sky was so blue and crystal clear and the sun was shining so bright that all I wanted to do was go out and enjoy it the day. Surprisingly, it wasn't too cold. I'm in serious summer clothes mode already. These sweaters are making me itchy,  LOL. A few months of rain and gloom to look forward to... maybe I'll look into some badass rain galoshes to cheer me up.
